About The Job

As a Lighting Operator Intern, you’ll be at the core of our live and touring productions, working closely with our designers to bring shows to life. From programming cues to running live shows, you will learn to operate professional lighting consoles and help execute high-impact designs on both small and large stages.

You’ll also get touring exposure, assisting the crew with setups, rehearsals, and live execution across concerts, festivals, and esports events. This role is perfect for those who want to pursue a career in live event lighting and develop hands-on operator skills.

NOTE: This position is in high demand by the company as we are approaching high volume of Live Show projects, near the end of 2025.

The Responsibilities

  • You’re allergic to average and have a great eye for detail: your workday doesn’t stop until the edit team can work with a healthy plan.

  • You’re organized - double-checking is your middle name - you think in possibilities and always want to deliver solutions of the highest possible quality. As a born communicator, you love to keep everyone around you informed on the project plans.

  • You’re a team player that loves to work with great structure. To reach the best results on each project, you work and communicate well under pressure, proactively involve others when necessary, and can swiftly come up with fitting solutions. You’re ambitious, eager to learn, and proactively ask for feedback on your work.

  • You have a great sense of humor and a ‘’work hard, play hard’’ mentality. You’re able and willing to work outside of office hours when necessary (evenings and weekends).

  • You will oversee the start of all projects from a Show perspective. This involves:

  • Working with the team to anticipate and prepare for upcoming projects, and help them to quote the work accurately.

  • Creating provisional schedules when this is needed early in the project.

  • You will oversee all smaller projects directly.

  • You act as the main point of contact between the client and the team at times.

The Requirements

  • Must own a decent laptop for touring (RTX 4060 equivalent or better)

  • Knowledge/interest in professional lighting consoles (MA Lighting, Chamsys, Avolites, etc.)

  • Basic understanding of lighting fixtures and DMX protocols

  • Strong teamwork and adaptability in high-pressure environments

  • Creative mindset with an eye for detail

  • Positive, energetic, and proactive attitude

  • Stress-resistant and solution-oriented

  • Willingness to travel extensively with the crew

  • Strong communication skills

  • Fluent in English

  • Experienced/worked in the area of Live Events

  • Ideally a degree/experience in the area of film and/or editing

  • Creative thinker

  • Get-the-job-done mentality that thrives under pressure

  • Strong communication skills 

  • Experience with Video Editing and DAW software is a plus
